Alliance4XR was presented at the Technology & Project Showcase: Science in Action, an event hosted at the Multi-functional Center for Social Activities and Welfare of the Larnaca Municipality, which brings research, innovation, and society together.

During the event, CMMI (Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute) participated by showcasing the Alliance4XR project and its vision for integrating Extended Reality (XR) technologies into education and training. Visitors had the opportunity to explore how XR solutions can support learning, collaboration, and knowledge transfer, particularly in technical and emerging fields.
The Alliance4XR stand attracted a wide range of participants, including professionals, researchers, and members of the public, who engaged in discussions with CMMI scientists on the role of immersive technologies in addressing real-world challenges. Special attention was given to sustainability issues and how research-driven innovation can contribute to the transition towards cleaner seas and more sustainable ports.
Participation in events such as Science in Action reinforces Alliance4XR’s commitment to dissemination and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that innovative XR-based approaches reach educators, institutions, and communities across Europe.

Alliance4XR, an Erasmus+ Project co-funded by the European Union, continues its mission to empower higher education institutions and vocational training centers by effectively integrating Extended Reality (XR) technologies.
In 2026, our focus will be on addressing the core challenges identified to date: strengthening educators’ XR competencies, aligning immersive technologies with pedagogical needs, and supporting green and digital transitions across sectors such as structural engineering, energy, and maritime studies.
