The Alliance4XR project recently held a hands-on extended reality (XR) workshop at Florida Universitaria, organized in collaboration with CEEI Valencia.
Twenty-eight students from the Videogame Development degree participated in the session, exploring the platform’s features, creating XR content, models, and environments, and presenting their work for evaluation.
The workshop provided an invaluable opportunity to collect direct feedback from the platform’s end users students and future industry professionals, helping refine its functionalities and enhance its educational value and accessibility in higher education and vocational training settings.
“These sessions allow us to validate the methodology and ensure the platform meets the real needs of teachers and students,” highlighted CEEI Valencia, the partner responsible for organizing this workshop.
Bringing XR to the Classroom
Alliance4XR is developing an inclusive methodology designed to facilitate the adoption of extended reality in universities and vocational training centers. Alongside these methodological resources, the project offers an interactive platform that enables users to explore demos and create new XR content from scratch, even for those without prior technical experience.
The Florida Universitaria workshop is part of a series of pilot initiatives taking place across various European universities and vocational training institutions. Feedback gathered during these sessions is critical to optimizing both the platform and its educational materials, ensuring the final version fully meets the needs of educators and students alike.
