Alliance4XR, represented locally by partner CMMI, brought science to life at the recent ERN event, engaging visitors of all ages with interactive and immersive experiences that combined fun and learning. The project’s booth invited attendees to dive into cutting-edge research through virtual reality, allowing students, researchers, and the general public to explore the objectives and capabilities of Alliance4XR in a completely hands-on way while seeing how innovative science directly impacts everyday life and addresses global challenges.
With over 1,000 participants including children, adults, students, and researchers, the event offered an exciting journey through a variety of booths organized under five key missions: Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities, Cancer, Adaptation to Climate Change, Restoring Our Oceans and Waters, and Soils & Food. Visitors could connect with groundbreaking research, participate in interactive demonstrations, and gain a deeper understanding of the people and creativity behind scientific discoveries.
Alliance4XR’s booth stood out for its immersive VR experiences, sparking curiosity, inspiring future careers in STEM, and highlighting the project’s innovative approach to making complex science accessible and engaging. The event successfully demonstrated that science can be both entertaining and meaningful, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who visited and strengthening the connection between research and society.
