Alliance4XR captivated visitors at the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), where engineers and industry professionals explored how Extended Reality (XR) is reshaping the engineering sector. Presented by TEE/TKM, AUTH, and GEOImaging at the TEE/TKM pavilion, the initiative drew strong interest from attendees eager to experience the technology in action.
Throughout the event, participants stepped into immersive demonstrations powered by the Alliance4XR platform. Using VR headsets, they toured iconic landmarks such as the Parthenon, took precise measurements on digital replicas of buildings under construction, and even operated a wind turbine in a fully virtual environment. These experiences offered a glimpse into how XR can revolutionize day-to-day engineering practice, from design to construction and maintenance.
The response from engineers was overwhelmingly positive. Many visitors expressed enthusiasm about the potential applications of XR in their work and were particularly curious about the platform’s availability for wider use. Organizers emphasized that new models and use cases are already in development, promising to expand the platform’s capabilities in the near future.
Building on this momentum, TEE/TKM announced that a dedicated training event will take place on October 1st, offering a more in-depth demonstration of Alliance4XR and its tools. This upcoming event will provide professionals with the opportunity to explore how XR technology can enhance their skills and projects in tangible ways.
With its dynamic presence at TIF, Alliance4XR has reinforced its role as a leading force in integrating XR into the engineering sector, bringing the future of design and construction closer to reality.
