Alliance4XR made its mark at the 32nd IEEE Conference on Virtual Reality and 3D User Interfaces (IEEE VR 2025), a globally renowned event that brings together the best minds in VR, AR, and MR. Hosted in the scenic coastal town of Saint-Malo, France, and organized locally by INRIA Rennes, the event gathered 1,150 attendees from 44 countries, underscoring its international impact and reputation.
IEEE VR, organized under the IEEE Computer Society’s Technical Committee on Virtual and Augmented Reality (TCVR/AVR), has been the go-to platform for immersive tech research since 1993. This year’s edition featured five action-packed days of keynotes, workshops, poster sessions, and exhibitions.
Alliance4XR at the EuroXR Booth
The Alliance4XR project was proudly showcased as part of EuroXR’s presence at the exhibition. The booth featured Alliance4XR prominently:- During the 1-minute Fast Forward session, Alliance4XR project was introduced as part of EuroXR’s overview.
- A dedicated poster presentation provided a detailed look at the project’s goals and progress.
- Project flyers were distributed, and contact information from interested visitors was collected, helping grow awareness and our professional network.
A Week of Innovation and Inspiration
The event kicked off with two days of weekend workshops (March 8–9), followed by three intensive days of conference activities (March 10–12), including:- A plenary opening session with paper-based awards
- A touching tribute to VR pioneer Philippe Coiffet by Grigore Burdea
- Four compelling keynotes by experts like George Drettakis, Mavi Sanchez-Vives, Maria Roussou, and Stefania Serafin
- Daily poster sessions and over 45 parallel technical sessions
- A scenic Exhibition and Poster Area with a stunning view of St. Malo Bay
- An unforgettable Gala Dinner on March 11, featuring a magical sea-themed spectacle
