On September 27, 2024, in Nicosia, Cyprus, the Mission Possible European Researchers’ Night took place, organized by the Research & Innovation Foundation (RIF). The event attracted over 600 attendees, offering the public a chance to explore research projects and engage with science through interactive activities, presentations, and discussions.
Among the participants was the Alliance4XR project, which used the event to introduce its work to a diverse audience. Team members from Alliance4XR (CMMI) interacted with students, researchers, and other visitors, presenting the project’s objectives through slides and distributing informational flyers.
While the event allowed the team to spread awareness of the project, engagement levels varied depending on the audience’s interest in the field.
This event, part of a wider European Commission initiative under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, is designed to engage the public with science and technology.
The activities, ranging from hands-on experiments to live discussions, provided an opportunity to highlight the importance of research and innovation in everyday life.
Alliance4XR‘s participation provided valuable exposure, though the overall impact of the promotion depended largely on the attendees’ curiosity and existing interest in the project’s themes.
