Alliance4XR Participates in Groundbreaking CO2 Pacman Living Lab, Showcasing VR for Renewable Energy Solutions

Part of the Alliance4XR team (Geoimaging and CEEI Valencia) recently took part in the first-ever CO2 Pacman Living Lab held in Brac, Croatia, under the European project aiming to reduce CO2 emissions through renewable energy integration. The event focused on how immersive technologies, such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Extended Reality (XR), can help visualize the environmental impact of renewable energy in real-life settings.

At the Living Lab, Alliance4XR showcased a cutting-edge simulation that allows users to experience, in real time, how renewable energy can transform specific areas by capturing real-life images and creating interactive virtual environments. This innovative approach offers participants a powerful tool to understand and witness firsthand the tangible benefits of renewable energy, making it easier to grasp the potential environmental and social improvements.

The CO2 Pacman project aims to explore solutions for energy efficiency and carbon emission reduction integrating scientific and technical information in a new clear and fun communication and social engagement system, composed by new visual tools able to help plan climate neutrality transition roadmaps for islands.

The involvement of Alliance4XR represents a significant step toward integrating advanced technologies into this vision, allowing for greater engagement and understanding from the public and stakeholders.

The Brac Living Lab marked the beginning of a series of initiatives where immersive technologies will play a key role in making the transition to renewable energy more comprehensible and relatable to the general public. This collaboration between technology and sustainability represents a forward-thinking approach, combining digital innovation with real-world environmental solutions.
