Marco Sacco presents Alliance4XR project at the International Conference on eXtended Reality (XR Salento)

Dr. Marco Sacco, Vice President for EU Affairs and Collaboration at EuroXR, a key partner of the Alliance4XR project, participated in the International Conference on Extended Reality (XR Salento). This is a major gathering of XR professionals and enthusiasts, which took place in the Italian city of Salento from 4-6 September.

At XR Salento, Marco Sacco presented Alliance4XR, a project that aims to address the gap in Extended Reality (XR) theory and practice training modules within tertiary educations and vocational training centres by co-creating and testing teaching methodologies and materials to enhance their capacity and knowledge.

Sacco’s presentation delved into the project’s vision, its current achievements, and its future aspirations. Alliance4XR is not just about technology; it’s about building a community and ecosystem where XR can thrive. This project is looking at a future where XR is seamlessly from education to industry.

XR Salento is renowned for being a platform where experts from academia, industry, and research institutions converge to discuss the latest advancements and trends in XR.

This year’s conference will feature a range of topics, including virtual and augmented reality, human-computer interaction, and immersive storytelling. Sacco’s participation underscores the relevance and innovation that Alliance4XR brings to Education Centres and the XR community.

Participating in XR Salento is a fantastic opportunity to showcase what Alliance4XR has achieved and where we are heading. It’s also a chance to engage with experts from the educational sectors (Educational Ministry of Slovenia, University of Salento Rectors and Almaty university Vice-Rectors).”

Participating in events like XR Salento is crucial for A4XR because it provides an invaluable platform to showcase our innovative work and connect with leading experts, stakeholders and the new generation (Master and PhD students) in the XR field.

These events enable Alliance4XT to share their vision, discuss cutting-edge research, and explore potential collaborations that can drive the future of XR technology.

By gaining visibility and establishing A4XR presence at such conferences, we can foster partnerships, attract new opportunities, and ensure that our project remains at the forefront of the industry, shaping the next generation of XR solutions.

Alliance4XR project is also set to take part in the 21st EuroXR International Conference – EuroXR 2024, which will be held from November 27th to 29th, 2024, in Athens, Greece.

This conference is another important opportunity for Alliance4XR to engage with the XR community, share insights on the latest developments in extended reality, and demonstrate the project’s commitment to advancing XR technologies across Europe and beyond.
